Hawaii Luxury Travel Advisor

I'm Beverly Schulte, a luxury Hawaii travel advisor in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Through Paradise Travel, I design fully customized Hawaii itineraries across Maui, the Big Island, Lanai, and Kauai, connecting clients with the right island for the experience they want, the right properties within that island, and the private experiences most visitors never find. Hawaii at the luxury level is a different trip than Hawaii at the booking-platform level, and I know the difference.

Maui.

Maui is an island I plan a lot. The combination of resort quality, natural variety, and culinary depth makes it the strongest all-around choice for luxury travelers. I design Maui itineraries that go well beyond the resort, road to Hana done right, sunrise at Haleakala with the right guide, dinner reservations that require a local connection to secure.

Lanai

Lanai.

Lanai has two Four Seasons properties, Four Seasons Resort Lanai on Hulopoe Bay and Sensei Lanai, A Four Seasons Resort, up in the cool uplands. There's very little on the island beyond the two resorts, which is the point. I design Lanai itineraries for clients who want complete removal and a level of service that matches it.

The Big Island

The Big Island.

The Big Island is for travelers who want natural extremes, with active lava fields, snorkeling with manta rays, stargazing from the summit of Mauna Kea, black sand beaches. The luxury properties here are concentrated on the Kohala Coast. I know which ones are worth the price and how to build an itinerary that uses the island's unique geography well.

Kauai

Kauai is the most visually dramatic of the main Hawaiian islands. The Na Pali Coast, Waimea Canyon, the Hanalei Valley. It is also the most remote-feeling despite being a short flight from Honolulu. I design Kauai itineraries for clients who want natural beauty as the primary experience rather than resort amenities.

Multi-island Hawaii itineraries require careful pacing. Too many inter-island flights fragment the trip. I design combinations that make geographic and experiential sense. Typically two islands maximum for trips under fourteen days.

Hawaii is good year-round. April through June and September through November give you the best mix of weather, smaller crowds and better availability. December through March is peak season and the most expensive. I steer most clients to the shoulder months.
